I am using X (FreeBSD) with a nice old window manager, olvwm (last
modified in 1992 or so), and I don't really have complaints about
it.  So maybe I should hear your complaints on that, to better
assess in what light to consider the Mac complaints.  Maybe it's
just not obvious to me?

I am veering in to dangerous 'discussion' territory here, I fear.
I'll try to post some complaints later to make up for it.
