And don't forget the fact that an 'sftp' binary could be any of: a
"secure" FTP client that hashes the password before sending it[0]; regular
FTP wrapped in SSL; or the file transfer program for the second version of
the SSH protocol.  (Or possibly other things, but those are what I've run
across.  I just use 'scp'.)


[0] I've only seen this once, I think, and I can't remember where.
