This is what the World Wide Waste has taught us: it's okay to build a
one-stop shop for everything you think the user wants to do. It's okay
to assume that your program is all the user will ever want or need,
because for at least one user, it is.

I blame users. The software is just being economical.


Ideologically, the WWW couldn't have happened at a better time than at
the critical mass of the superconglomeration of industry and retail.
The only surprise is that Microsoft doesn't have a controlling share of
Wal-Mart. Software designers, stop building IKEA.
