I have wrestled with similiar cygwinisms in an attempt to placate a paranoid coworker. foo == foo.exe played havok with makefile rules. lack of filesystem case-sensitivity is also hateful. (is cygwin still case insensitive with NTFS?) that of course leads into hatefulness of the whole GNU toolchain... but thinking about it just makes me stammer. -- Aaron J.
