There are a very small number of gtk+ applications I care about.
avidemux being the big obvious one. There's simply no suitable
alternative to it on OS X so I'm stuck dealing with the dependencies.

As it happens, Fink has avidemux covered, but it's a very old version
and I can't be arsed figuring out how to update Fink's wossname to use
something a little more reccent. So I let Fink build the old version,
which gets all the dependencies in place, and then build the current
release myself.
