Oh come on now, who the heck wants to use modern operating system technology? That just doesn't make any sense. I mean, I'm fine with people doing research, and having lots of really great ideas that could really make our lives easier and generally make computers better and easier to manage, but to actually incorporate those ideas into the technology we use?
