No kidding. I have the resolution on my Windows machine set to 1152 X
864 (not sure where that number came from). If I reboot, which I try to
avoid, the machine comes up and thinks I've got a 27" monitor. To solve
it, I reboot a second time, at which point it realizes that the screen
is really only 19". At least it doesn't try to help me out by resetting
my resolution.
