Slash (Slashdot, use.perl.org) have a fake tag called <ecode> that does a
decent job of autoformatting your code, but of course it has problems with
whitespace, because, well, it's HTML.  And as <pre> is harmful, we don't
allow it.  But <ecode> does a decent enough job.
