I used to use Calcoo, http://calcoo.sourceforge.net/
It was tolerable, but I seem to recall thinking it was really slow.

On a related note: anyone tried using Calculator.app's RPN mode,
introduced in 10.4?  The most super-awesome part about it is that you
can't see the stack.  I think it's supposed to help you build your
memory...
