I share your hate, but unfortunately, MSIE is far worse, in many ways.

Why is it that the biggest killer app of the Internet has, for more than a
decade, been a big steaming pile of crap?  OK, I admit it is better now
that it was five years ago.  Maybe it will be better still in another five,
but I won't hold my breath ...
