Modal dialogue boxes are the work of the devil. Every single use of  
one(*) is inexcusable. The people responsible for making these things  
should be hit with peeled bananas for the rest of eternity.

I can't even blame microsoft for these, although they have always been  
champions of the modal dialogue box, I'm pretty sure they predate  
windows.
