--Apple-Mail-3-921555492 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed hello, i am tasked with implementing MLM-like groups for a web-based collaboration project. one of the requirements is that all interactions with the group/list are done via our application's web interface and other automations, not through email-based subscribe/ unsubscribe messages or a third-party web interface. i have rejected the idea of integrating mailman because too many of its CLI tools are interactive, and i fear it won't be automatable or transparent enough. some research has led me to siesta.. i've only perused the (0.66) source a bit, abd it appears that all the email interaction/ notification stuff is being handled only by the plugins, so as long as i (re-)write every plugin i need, it shouldn't be too hard to integrate into our application. however, the confused state of the project is making me a little wary. the latest release on cpan is 0.66, 2003-10-17. the latest release on http://siesta.unixbeard.net/releases/ is 0.65, 2003-09-01. the latest snapshot at http://siesta.unixbeard.net/releases/snapshot/ is from 2004-12-02. the latest patch in http://siesta.unixbeard.net/releases/patches/ is from 2006-04-24. thus, i have some questions! is a new cpan release planned? (and if so, when?) is a more recent snapshot planned?
