Coming from a Perl user that's deep damnation indeed.

I've just come back to SQL after having successfully stayed clean
and sober for what must be 20 years (I must be figuring wrong, I'm
not allowed to be old enough to say things like that), and I haven't
yet recalled what terrors lurked in the depths of a SELECT. I'm
sure I'll start waking up in strange places soon enough.
