Um, I may be missing something here, but hasn't Windows been doing that for ages? In Windows, I can copy a bunch of formatted text from a web browser (IE or Mozilla, doesn't matter) and paste it into a word processor (Word or OpenOffice, doesn't matter) and it retains the formatting. -- YozThere's stuff above here
