Usually I like rsync. Today, though, I was copying a half-gig file to 
a remote machine, and I neglected to check the permissions. 
Unfortunately, so did rsync. Well, that's not quite true. It checked 
them. AFTER SPENDING FIVE MINUTES COPYING THE FILE.

The error message was verbose and useless too. Hateful thing.
