I used the "--hfs" option, with an rsync server. I expected that it would do the same thing that it does when you copy files to a LOCAL disk that doesn't handle resource forks and put the resource fork and the finder info in an appledouble file with a "._" prefix. What it SHOULD do is use its own protocol version, then if that's rejected have a way to fall back to sending appledouble files using the standard protocol.There's stuff above here
