Ironically, this is still one of the reasons I don't use Red Hat -- that, and the fact that they used to rebind 'esc' in /etc/inputrc to somehow make vi not work. "Oh, people actually _use_ that old thing?" Yeah, they've theoretically had those fixed for years, I'm sure, but it's been a tough stain for me to look past.
