Last weekend I spent hours going through my iPhoto library and put a lot of photos into a book. The intention was to then trim the selection down to a manageable number and eventually get the book printed. I should have known better, but I assumed that "a book is just a special case of an album, right?". For the record, it isn't. You cannot automatically sort the photos, so they are in the book in the order you put them there. You cannot get a good overview of the photos, so further weeding is hard. These two I could both live with. I know what to do. I move all the photos from the book to a new album, do all the sorting and managing there, then create a new book for the actual layout and getting the thing ordered. Except, adding in insult to injury, in a book you *cannot select more than one photo at a time* (Apple-A doesn't do the right thing). I tried creating a "smart album" that would select photos from the book, but that didn't work either. Hate! Stig
