I think that people who truly hate Perl miss one point - most people behind it and using it have really nice attitude and good, practical intentions. Which is terrific compared to the spirit of, say, C++ (the boost kind, the system of values praising 80-line "generic" max implementations). So all the bad Perl code I've come across, which actually made me avoid the language, couldn't make me really hate it.There's stuff above here
