[...] I too hate screen's key-stealing behavior. I tried remapping the key to various different letters, but never found a place for it that didn't get in the way at the worst possible time. So now I use dtach, which has no runtime interaction features, and not so much please-exploit-me overcomplexity. Unfortunately it also has less robustness -- a great thing to lack in a tool whose primary use-case is to increase robustness -- which makes me wonder why I bother. -joshThere's stuff above here
