Well, sourceforge is well known for it's brokenness with reguards to CVS.
I've never used savannah, so I guess it depends on how well their
servers are.
This is where I'd normally pipe in with "Can't we run it on subversion
instead". There's a subversion server on penderel (ha!) we could use, or
there's one on the same server that runs this mailing list that we could
beg richardc to let us use, or there's even one that I don't use at all
installed on twoshortplanks.com.
