Basically, you send out each list message as a separate mailing per user, with (as its SMTP FROM address) something like: bounce-debian-beowulf=roger=firedrake.org@xxxxx.xxxxxx.xxx Then you make all "bounce-debian-beowulf*@xxxxx.xxxxxx.xxx" addresses fall into your bounce processor. (Assuming it's not one of the really blatantly broken MTAs which will send errors to the "From:" address, of course.) In my experience it's the only excuse for the extreme bandwidth costs involved in not sending out a list message with multiple SMTP recipients. RogerThere's stuff above here
