Luckily, the autobahns were open systems... so they weren't restricted
to Volkswagen, and they didn't have to go resurrect Hitler's corpse and
convince it to cooperate every time they needed to make a change in
them.

C# has neither advantage. If the Autobahns were built like C# you'd need
to take a blood test before you could get the transceiver for your good
German vehicle to let you on them.

Of course C++ is more like a bunch of temporary military roads and emergency
pontoon bridges that you drive over in convoys so you've got all the kit you
need for field-expedient repairs. But at least anyone can hitch a ride.

If these were the only options I would be in despair, rather than simply
depressed that people honestly think these are the only options.

I guess that's fodder for hates-wetware.com. :(

Good tools are a good thing, if they're not part of a lock-in strategy.
