I have plenty of hate for ATMs.

Firstly I hated that when I last visited Australia, a cash machine ate
$400 of mine when I got a blue screen of death while it was counting
the money. I then had to hate my bank for approximately six months
while they "investigated" the problem.

I hate that since my bank got bought by a larger bank I get asked if
I'd like instructions in French or English. This seems bizarre given
that an overwhelming majority of their customers must be English
speakers, and they can't set the preference on the card. They have a
"Fast Cash" option where you can save your preferred withdrawal amount
and save yourself a button press, but I hate that it still asks you if
you want a receipt or not.

I like the fact that I can make deposits at the ATM, I hate the fact
that you have to type in the total of your deposits rather than giving
you an option to type in multiple amounts and adding up the total for
you. It seems to me that adding things up is better left to computers
than humans.

I hate that there seems to be a lack of designers that can actually
design things that are easy to use.

Gavin.
