Programs that *don't* send mail with /usr/lib/sendmail (yeah, yeah,
these days /usr/sbin/sendmail) are hateful.  /usr/lib/sendmail has a
correct implementation of SMTP, unlike half the programs that try to
do it themselves.  How many people have written their own half-assed
SMTP senders when they *didn't have to*, because there was a perfectly
good /usr/lib/sendmail *right there*?  /usr/lib/sendmail has been
correctly configured for the local mail setup.  How many times do I
have to explain to yet another program that no, it is not to try to
connect to mail.$ISP.com on port 25 and send passwords in cleartext?
