Heh. I have an old shuffle, and I think it's actually about the
least hateful device I've ever owned. It has almost no features,
only the indispensable ones, and those all work correctly.
I really cannot complain at all.
Of course it has never been under iTunes' auspices. Granted
GNUpod kinda stinks, but I keep the encounters very short ("stick
these files on the pod please", no attempts to manage anything in
any way) so it's just been distasteful, not hateful, which is
something, at least.
