Well, since it's X, I imagine pretty damn hard.

Consider this: X11 was released in September 1987.  That's 17
years ago.

It *STILL* can't reliably cut and paste anything except text even
when I'm only working inside of X. And even that doesn't always
work.

Screw X.  If I could convince the office to spring for a G5 (I'm
getting close), this Linux desktop would be out the window.
