Applescript's "language-like" syntax is possibly even more hateful than 
Perl's. It's dripping a slightly different KIND of foul evil, but it's 
evil never the less.

Same underlying idea, slightly different horrid mess on top, but the 
horrid mess is there regardless.

Pity Larry Wall wasn't a mathematician. People complain bitterly about 
APL characters but at least the syntax is simple and unambiguous.

I note that Gruber, like me, likes Javascript. I think that Javascript 
has been unfairly maligned... it's tainted by association with the 
browser mess. As a programming language it's remarkably well designed.
