My personal safari-hate has to do with the coloured beachball. For some godforsaken reason they lock the whole bloody interface when it hits a page which is somehow complicated. I've got a machine with enough oomph to allow me to switch to a different window and continue working there while the 'complicated' page loads in the background, but noooooo, instead it bloody locks up. Try it sometimes - open worth1000.com, and command-click on several contest links to open them in a tab each. Each loads a page with a fair number of images (well, it's a photoshop contest, remember?), but the beach-ball kicks in when I hit two links in succession, and I will have to wait until those two pages, who aren't even bloody visible because they are in hidden tabs, are loaded. sometimes I think they built in a limit - once it is requesting more than 3 things at the same time, stop the user from doing anything else. Like I haven't got 2.5 Mbps cable here. Hateful. What the f... did they invent threads for? - -John -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (Darwin) iD8DBQFAtP39YffhuCsYUkURAo6RAJ4rM+Pbe9JJbTJZ982YrrcU0VBgNACeJPIE lh6zBTuYxqJWMSpMZ00i+Ao= =gsp0 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----There's stuff above here
