I note that Javascript has regex literals... The OO models of JS and Perl are in fact amusingly similar. And wouldn't you know, just like with Perl, there are lots of JS libs trying to fix JS OO, though for an independent reason: JS has neither multiple prototypes per object (as Self does) nor prototype "cascading" (which would have been more like Perl's class-based OO).
